Pure gold (24K) is too soft to be used in jewelry making. It would deform too quickly at the slightest bump or misstep. It is therefore necessary to mix pure gold with an alloy of other metals. 18K gold is composed of 75% pure gold and 25% of a silver and copper alloy (and sometimes palladium) in varying amounts depending on the desired gold color (yellow gold, rose gold, or white gold). 

18K gold is the most precious of alloys, ideally used in jewelry because it offers many advantages: it makes the gold stronger and more resistant, without ever compromising its stainless and hypoallergenic properties. 18K gold jewelry can be worn for a lifetime, resists corrosion, and never oxidizes, even in contact with water. They are marked with an eagle's head hallmark to differentiate them from other alloys.

Gold has a remarkable property: it can be melted down and reused without losing its qualities.

At ODACE, we have therefore chosen to use 18K COC-certified recycled gold, sourced primarily from existing gold, rather than consistently relying on newly mined gold.

This choice allows us to give a new life to a precious material while maintaining the qualities expected of an 18K gold piece of jewelry.

Yes, a lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It has the same chemical composition and exactly the same physical and optical properties as a natural diamond.

It should not be confused with stones or materials that may resemble it, such as cubic zirconia (CZ), zircon, or moissanite, whose composition and properties are different.

The difference between a natural diamond and a lab-grown diamond lies solely in their origin. 

There is no better choice: there is only the one that corresponds to what matters to you.

The natural diamond is distinguished by its geological origin and its history. The lab-grown diamond is distinguished by its technological origin and its traceability, and generally allows, for an equivalent budget, access to a larger or higher-quality stone.

At ODACE, we offer both and take the time to explain their differences to you so that you can choose freely.

It is impossible to distinguish a natural diamond from a lab-grown diamond with the naked eye or even with a loupe. Both are composed of 100% carbon atoms and possess exactly the same physical and optical properties.

Identifying their origin requires specialized gemological analysis and equipment, which allow for the study of how carbon atoms assembled during growth deep within the material. 

The gemological certificate issued by the IGI or GIA clearly specifies whether the diamond is natural or lab-grown.

Natural diamond is a
limited resource and its journey to the jeweler generally
involves 5 to 10 intermediaries.

For our lab-grown diamonds, we source directly from laboratories, without any intermediaries. Combined with a resource that is not naturally limited, this more direct supply chain allows us to offer significantly lower prices. 

The higher the diamond weight, the greater the price difference: for comparable quality, the price of the finished piece of jewelry is on average 50% lower with a 0.50-carat lab-grown diamond and 75% lower with a 1.50-carat diamond.

We select each diamond based on its gemological characteristics, proportions, and brilliance.

For our natural diamonds, we offer three quality levels: H-SI, G-VS, and D-VVS, to allow for different balances between the stone's characteristics and your budget.

For our lab-grown diamonds, we have chosen an exclusive D-VVS selection.

From 0.40 carats, our diamonds are accompanied by an individual gemological certificate issued by a recognized independent laboratory, GIA or IGI.

Whether it comes from the bowels of the earth or a high-tech laboratory, every diamond is unique in its weight, clarity, color, and cut.

Each diamond is thus evaluated and valued according to 4 criteria, the 4Cs:

Carat (weight): The weight of a diamond is measured in carats. One carat is equal to 0.20 grams. Two diamonds of the same weight will not necessarily have the same value, as this will also depend on the evaluation of the other three criteria: the diamond's clarity, color, and cut.

Clarity: Every diamond contains inclusions, small impurities that are unique to it. These are largely diamond crystals or foreign bodies trapped in the stone during the formation process. The fewer impurities a diamond has, the rarer and more precious it is. The clarity grade of a diamond is defined on a scale ranging from "Flawless" (FL) to "Included" (I, inclusions visible to the naked eye). A VVS diamond has inclusions that are extremely difficult to observe under 10x magnification. Next come the VS and then SI grades, where inclusions become gradually more present. When they are significant enough, they affect the stone's transparency and the way light travels through it.

Color: For white diamonds, color is evaluated on a scale ranging from D (exceptionally colorless) to Z (a light yellow or brown diamond). The further one moves away from D, the more a slight yellowish tint may gradually become perceptible. At ODACE, we only select diamonds graded between D and H.

Cut: This is the only one of the 4Cs directly influenced by human hands. From the rough diamond, the artisan gives it a shape (round, pear, emerald...), and the ideal proportions and facets that allow light to enter the stone and reflect optimally. This work of extreme precision cutting is an art in its own right. A well-cut diamond will create spectacular plays of light and reveal all its fire and brilliance.

The purer, whiter, and better cut a diamond is, the more it will reflect light and reveal exceptional brilliance.

The gemological certificate is the identity card of your diamond.

Issued by an independent laboratory, it provides details including its weight, color, clarity, dimensions, and cut characteristics. It also indicates whether the diamond is natural or lab-grown.

The most recognized independent laboratories are the GIA and the IGI.

The future value of a diamond cannot be guaranteed.

It depends in particular on its origin, its characteristics, its rarity, as well as the evolution of supply and demand. 

At ODACE, we therefore present the diamond above all as a stone intended to accompany a piece of jewelry and a story, rather than as a financial investment.

Yes. We accompany you in the creation of a completely bespoke piece of jewelry, imagined with you and then crafted in our Parisian workshop.

Each project unfolds in several stages:

Defining the project — We discuss your inspirations, your desires, and the various details of the creation.

Design — We create a 3D model of your jewelry. Several exchanges allow us to refine the design, proportions, and setting. A resin prototype can then be produced so that you can try on the piece and validate its volume before manufacturing begins.

Choosing the diamonds — We guide you in selecting the diamonds for your piece, whether natural or lab-grown, depending on your project.

Manufacturing — Once the design and stones are approved, your jewelry is custom-made in our Parisian workshop, following traditional French jewelry-making expertise.

Delivery of your creation — After a final quality check, your jewelry is delivered to you in its ODACE case, either in-store or via secure shipping.

If you would like to adjust the size of a ring, please contact us at hello@odace.co with your order number and your adjustment instructions. We will arrange a return and take care of sending you a new size. We do not cover shipping costs for sending a new size. The length of each of our necklaces and bracelets is indicated on every product page. 

All our chain necklaces and bracelets are designed with three adjustment rings so that the size can be adjusted according to each person's wrist or neck size.

Subject to character limits, we can engrave most ODACE jewelry. When placing your order, you can click on the "add an engraving" option and enter the word you wish to have engraved. 

If you would like to give a piece of jewelry as a gift and are unsure of the size, we recommend giving it without an engraving. You will be able to send the piece back to us later to have it engraved. However, shipping costs associated with returning the piece for engraving will not be covered by ODACE.

Once engraved, the jewelry cannot be returned.

No! Unlike gold plating, 18K gold does not tarnish. It retains its color and shine over time. There is no need to worry; your ODACE jewelry is crafted from 18K gold to enhance your beauty and last a lifetime.

Of course, your ODACE jewelry will never leave, not even in water. All our jewelry is made from 18K gold. They will not deteriorate or discolor upon contact with water.

Gold jewelry does not like shocks. Avoid scratching or hitting them. Do not wear them when participating in a sporting activity. Store them carefully in their ODACE case when you are not wearing them to avoid any friction or impact with other jewelry or objects.

Fill a glass with warm water. Pour in the equivalent of a teaspoon of dish soap. Gently place your piece of jewelry at the bottom of the glass. Wait 15 minutes. Then, using a very soft toothbrush or a cotton swab previously dipped in the water, gently scrub the jewelry. Rinse, then wipe the jewelry with a soft cloth. The jewelry is like new! You can repeat this cleaning every 3–4 months.

All orders are shipped via Colissimo, DHL, Fedex, or Ferrari from France. Delivery is fully secure, and your jewelry is insured until it is delivered to the address of your choice. To ensure the package has been successfully delivered, we require a signature upon delivery.

Worldwide shipping is free. The prices shown on our site include shipping costs as well as any customs duties and taxes applicable to your destination.

All ODACE jewelry is made to order by hand in our French workshops. This model requires a little waiting, but for most parts we commit to a period of 4 to 6 weeks between taking the order and shipping the package.

Within 15 days of receiving your order, we accept returns and exchanges for earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, provided they are in their original condition and have not been personalized with an engraving. Return shipping costs for your piece of jewelry, as well as shipping for your new item, are at your expense. 

For rings, we unfortunately cannot accept returns, unless it is for a resizing.

We accept payments via Carte Bleue, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Bank transfers are accepted under certain conditions. 

Our bank card system is fully secure, using the safest and most widely used encryption protocol in France. ODACE does not store any banking information. You can make purchases on our site with complete peace of mind.

On our website it is possible to choose the payment option by bank transfer. Once the order has been placed, you will need to make the bank transfer with the information indicated. In order to guarantee payment security, the order will only be taken into account and launched once the funds have been received in our bank account. This payment method can therefore extend the time between order and delivery by a few days.

In 2 installments by bank transfer: a first payment of 50% when the order is placed, and the remaining 50% balance upon collection in-store or before the secure delivery of your jewelry.
